Dr. Seema Madhwar built Aryavart Naturals from a simple but profound conviction: that authentic Ayurvedic healing should not require a journey to Kerala. That the ancient wisdom of Panchakarma — the oils, the therapies, the precise protocols — could be delivered with the same care and integrity right here in the foothills of Uttarakhand.
Trained in Kerala Panchakarma, she has personally supervised every treatment since the clinic's founding. Her approach is deeply personal — she believes in understanding each patient as a whole person, not a diagnosis.

Deep Detox & Restoration
Panchakarma — literally 'five actions' — is the cornerstone of Ayurvedic medicine. It is the only medical system in the world specifically designed not just to treat disease, but to systematically remove the root cause of disease from the tissues of the body.
At Aryavart Naturals, Panchakarma is not a standard procedure. Dr. Seema Madhwar evaluates your body constitution (Prakriti), current imbalance (Vikriti), age, strength, and the nature of your condition before designing a programme that is entirely specific to you.
The therapies work by liquefying toxins (Ama) accumulated in the channels of the body, directing them to the digestive tract, and expelling them — leaving the tissues renewed, the mind clear, and the immune system restored.
Calm the Mind, Heal the Nervous System
Shirodhara is one of Ayurveda's most iconic and powerful therapies. A thin, continuous stream of warm medicated oil is poured gently onto the forehead — specifically targeting the Ajna chakra (third eye) and the hypothalamus, the brain's stress regulation centre.
The effect is almost immediate. Within minutes, the nervous system enters a state of deep rest — deeper than ordinary sleep — which allows the body to begin repairing at a cellular level. Patients often describe the experience as the most peaceful state they have ever been in.
The oils used are carefully chosen by Dr. Seema Madhwar based on your condition — Brahmi oil for anxiety and insomnia, Ksheerabala for neurology, Chandanadi for pitta conditions.
The Foundation of Ayurvedic Healing
Abhyanga is the most foundational of all Ayurvedic treatments — and it is far more than a massage. It is a medicated therapy in which warm, herb-infused oils are worked deeply into the tissues using specific strokes that move lymph, stimulate circulation, and penetrate the skin to deliver medicinal compounds directly to the tissues.
In Kerala tradition — which forms the backbone of our practice — Abhyanga is performed by trained therapists using both hands and sometimes feet, following precise marma point sequences that affect the nervous system, organs, and energy channels (srotas).
Heat, Herbs, and Deep Relief
Patrapinda Swednam — known colloquially as Potli massage — is a therapy in which medicated leaves, herbs, and oils are bundled into cloth pouches (pindas), heated in warm medicated oil, and rhythmically applied across the body or targeted joints.
The combination of moist heat, herbal medicine, and therapeutic pressure makes it uniquely effective for painful, inflamed, and stiff joints — working simultaneously on the skin, muscle, bone, and nerve tissue.
The Royal Kerala Treatment
Pizhichil — also known as Thailadhara or 'Kayasekam' — is one of Kerala's most treasured and visually striking treatments. Warm medicated oil is poured in a continuous, generous stream over the entire body by two therapists simultaneously, while gentle massage is performed.
It is simultaneously lubricating, strengthening, and deeply therapeutic — the sheer quantity of oil used ensures deep tissue penetration, nourishing the nerves, muscles, and bones from the inside out. It is the treatment of choice for paralysis and neuromuscular conditions.
Targeted Warm Oil Therapy
Jaduvasti is a form of localised Basti treatment in which a ring of dough is placed on a targeted area of the body — most commonly the lower back, the knee, or the heart region — and filled with warm medicated oil that sits in direct contact with the skin for an extended period.
This sustained, direct application allows the therapeutic compounds in the oil to penetrate deeply into the joint, disc, and surrounding nerve tissue — producing results that no oral medication can replicate in these specific areas.
The Gateway Above the Shoulders
In Ayurveda, the nose is considered the gateway to the head. Nasya involves the administration of medicated oils, herbal powders, or herbal juices through the nostrils — from where they enter the nasal cavity, reach the sinuses, and influence the brain and nervous system directly.
It is the primary Panchakarma procedure for all conditions above the shoulders — and its results, particularly for chronic sinusitis and migraines, often surprise even patients who have tried everything else.
Ayurvedic Para-Surgical Procedure
Kshar Sutra is one of Ayurveda's most precisely validated surgical techniques, described in Sushruta Samhita over 3,000 years ago — and today supported by clinical studies comparing it favourably against conventional surgery for anorectal conditions.
A medicated thread (Sutra) coated with alkaline herbal preparations (Kshar) is placed in the fistula or haemorrhoidal tissue and gradually cuts through while simultaneously healing — a process that takes weeks but avoids the complications, recurrence rates, and recovery time of conventional surgery.
Dr. Seema Madhwar has extensive experience with this procedure and personally supervises all Kshar Sutra cases, including the proctoscopy investigation and all thread changes.

Dr. Seema Madhwar did not choose Ayurveda because it was the easiest path. She chose it because she saw, again and again, the limitations of a medical system that treats symptoms while ignoring causes — that prescribes rather than heals.
After completing her formal Ayurvedic training, she went to Kerala — where the oldest and most sophisticated form of Panchakarma has been practiced in an unbroken lineage for centuries. She trained there not as a tourist or observer, but as a student — learning the oils, the marma sequences, the timing, the dietary protocols, and the subtle art of reading a patient's constitution.
When she returned to Uttarakhand, she opened Aryavart Naturals with a clear intention: that the people of this region — and beyond — should not have to travel all the way to Kerala to access this level of care. That authentic Panchakarma, supervised by someone who had learned it properly, could be delivered right here.
